Jo & Kent are some of the most genuinely nice people we have met. The luxury tent was a beautiful, quiet, and relaxing place to stay. We were sad that we only had one night there and will most definitely be back. The fire pit right near the tent with the grill attached to it made cooking dinner easy. The island is wonderful with the walking trails and multiple clean swimming spots on a beautiful lake with great wildlife to watch.
Thank you for everything!
-Devin & Isabel

This place was amazing! We loved swimming, fishing, and taking naps on the hammock by the water. Kent was such a great host and so knowledgeable about the area and island. It rained for part of our trip but we still had a great time and listening to the rain in hemlock haven is perfect. If you’re looking to get away than this perfect with a lot of the comforts of home. We also loved shadow and sky coming by and saying hello. We can’t wait to come back and bring our dog Teddy who will hopefully learn from shadow and sky and go for a swim.

Quite an amazing stay on the island. Jo and Kent's hospitality was very gracious as they provided all that we needed throughout our stay. The island was private and quiet, providing a lovely weekend getaway. We enjoyed all that is great about camping while having a bed and all the supplies to make it easy and comfortable.

Once again, Joanne and Kent have exceeded our expectations. We had the island to ourselves and were able to completely disconnect from our busy lives and reconnect with the earth. Endlessly grateful for our new friends and our new favorite place!

Kent and Joanne are amazing hosts- so knowledgeable about the history and wildlife in the area. The tent (and even the compaloo!) was downright luxurious. We hope to visit again!

Joanne and Kent’s place was more than expected and a fantastic stay! We were able to unleash our dog, figuratively and literally, and let her run around the island with us to explore which was such a joy! The whole island is beautiful and the experience was top notch! Words can’t do it justice. They were amazing, friendly hosts and we would definitely come back in the summer to enjoy more of the warmer days on the island! Definitely recommend to anyone and already have to a few friends!

Jo and Kent were both such pleasant and accommodating hosts! We camped out on a chillier fall evening and they brought us out extra blankets and firewood. I would LOVE to come back next summer and camp in the A-frame cabin- they let us check it out and it looked beautiful. Of mention- we loved their dog Shadow as well! 5 stars for sure! This was the perfect 1-night getaway when you’re craving camping but don’t want all the hassles that come with it.
