We absolutely loved our time on 1BSI, it was relaxing and private and exactly what we were looking for. The hosts are fabulous, available if you need them but also give you space for privacy and quiet. The A-Frame was perfect for us, comfortable and plenty of room. Highly recommend!

Do yourself a favor, if your intrigued by this island come and stay! An amazing oasis full of sunsets, evening swims and loons to serenade you. We immediately tuned inward and settle right in. Jo and Kent are lovely people striving to maintain this sweet retreat, making our stay seamless.

What a special place Jo and Kent have here on the island. We had three magical days of canoe-Ing swimming, watching amazing sunsets, hearing the loon calls, truly a magical place for quiet reflection and enjoying nature. We would gladly come back!

Kent and Jo were such accommodating hosts. They created a very relaxing and unique experience. We greatly enjoyed our time canoeing, catching bass, cooking over the fire, relaxing in the hammock, and walking around the island. The large gazebo was perfect when it was rainy, the grill and large table an easy set up for cooking. The cabin was cozy and clean, with large windows looking out at the trees. The bathroom was clean and we enjoyed seeing the innovations Kent and Jo have made reality. We look forward to returning in the future for another relaxing getaway.

The attention to detail that has gone into every aspect of Jo and Kent's Island left me in awe. I had a wonderful stay and can't wait to return. These folks clearly love what they do and want to share that experience/slice of life with their guests.

What a wonderful experience! Jo and Kent were tremendous hosts and extremely flexible! For the island, the pictures don’t give it enough justice. It’s stunning! Not only are you on a remote island, they have so much to offer. Whether that’s jumping off the road swing, relaxing in a hammock, or canoeing/kayaking around the island! The private A- Frame campsite was wonderful, with a nice gazebo to eat dinner under, and a nice fire pit to sit around a fire. For sure a must try experience! I would recommend anyone to stay in this Camp. I know I definitely will be returning!

Perfect AirBnb experience. The island is wonderful and Joanne and Kent go over the top to make sure your stay is enjoyable. My dog will likely never be as happy as she was during her time on the island. I hope I can return one day.

Magical island, adorable a-frame cottage, and gracious hosts. We loved every second of our two night stay, but the highlight was a private boat tour of the whole lake. Kent's love of the lake and its First Peoples history is infectious, and he had our ten-year old jumping to learn more. This is the height of glamping.

Staying at the A-Frame was a dream and everything that we wanted in our vacation. It was a quiet, calm, and relaxing getaway from the city. We spent 3 days there canoeing, swimming, walking around and generally had a great time. The A-Frame itself was cozy and well-stocked — on the days that it rained, we really enjoyed our time reading and playing games.<br/>Kent and Jo (and Sky and Shadow!) are such kind and welcoming hosts. It was so great to chat with them and get to know them. It's obvious they've put a lot of care and love into making 1BSI an incredible place.
