Pet-Friendly Island A-Frame w/ Lake Access

One Big Sustainable Island is a great place to vacation and a must do! Kent was a great host, and always there to answer questions or fulfill a need. We booked this stay last minute as we were heading up to Cooper, ME to stay for a week. This was a nice stop to break up the drive from PA. Kent was very accommodating and made us feel right at home. We brought our own boat and rode to the island, however, Kent was there to help with any questions upon arrival. The island had all we needed and the AFrame was fully equipped will all the essentials. Our dogs had a great time in the lake as well. Thanks for having us and hope to come back real soon for a longer stay. Thanks!

This was a unique, memorable experience -- perfectly advertised, well worth the price -- that I doubt you'll find anywhere else. The island is really perfect. No electricity, of course, but you don't really feel like you're "roughing it". Our cabin was perfectly cleaned, rustic but not rundown, and was secluded without ever feeling desolate or unsafe. The bed was very comfortable, and the little touches added to the island -- the occasional funny sign, the cool gadget light to give you reading illumination without electricity needed -- were great. Very friendly vibes, a beautiful place, and a high, high recommend. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer.

One big sustainable island has been one of our all time favorite stays. The island offers privacy, serenity, sustainability, and a ton of fun activities. Kent himself is an amazing and responsive host committed to making every guests stay at the island a 5 star experience. We will surely be back!

We had an awesome time at the 1 BSI A-Frame. It was exactly as advertised. It was so nice to just pack our food, drinks, and personal items. Kent and his team provided everything else. The island is lovely with very little foot traffic. We had an fantastic time on the rope swing and swimming to the raft. Kent was very communicative and responsive. Don’t be scared about the composting toilets and manual shower - all the instructions are there and it’s pretty clean. Can’t wait to go back next summer!

We absolutely love this place and will definitely come back. Staying on an island comes with special instructions and Kent was fantastic with having them on the posting, communicating them with us, and having signs everywhere for us. Our cabin was clean and came with everything we would need—flashlights, fans, blankets, pillows, plates, utensils, and more. They make it easy to pack light. Kent and partners are dog people so our pup was able to come with us and she learned how to jump off the dock here! The views were breathtaking—truly a photographers paradise. Our favorite parts were canoeing around the island, watching the sunset from sunset rock, and swimming to the meditation dock. P.S. I know not having plumbing can be weird, but their set up is definitely glamper-approved! A *perfect* getaway. 😊

Amazing amazing place! Kent was extremely responsive, proactive and friendly. The island is unlike any other experience I’ve had on Airbnb and I’d highly recommend. Kent lays out all directions and information extremely clearly, he is flexible, the A-frame and entire Island are cared for perfectly.

Fantastic island, fantastic host, fantastic tiny home. Best part was the lake: amazing water, and not very developed so the lake/area has retained so much of its natural beauty.
